Redline Karate is not a competition based Dojo. We strive to achieve balance in and out of the Dojo. We achieve this by committing to a core set of values at every belt rank. This is where our Belt Stripe system comes into action.
The belt stripe system is used for maintaining Redline’s core values in the Dojo, at home, and at school.
Parents, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Teachers, and even Babysitters are encouraged to help the children earn their stripes. Black stripes are given when a child achieves any of our core values outside the Dojo. This is done with black electrical tape. White or red stripes are given to the children from their instructors to show their achievements in class. The child needs 10 stripes total before being able to move to the next belt rank. 7 black stripes earned at home and 3 white or red stripes earned in the Dojo.
CORE VALUE STRIPES:
EXTRA RESPECT, KINDNESS, HARD WORK, COMMITMENT, DISCIPLINE, POSITIVE ATTITUDE, and FOCUS.
